Amba-series – COVID-19 & AI: Unexpected challenges and lessons
Covid-19 and AI : Unexpected challenges and lessons
As part of the Amba-series “Covid-19 : Science and Policy”, the Higher Education, Research and Innovation Department at the French Embassy to the United Kingdom, in partnership with the Inria London programme and the Franco-British Data Society, organises a webinar the 21th May 2021, from 11 to 12:30 AM (BST), on the role of AI in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Covid-19 pandemic has triggered a remarkable answer from many scientists. Statisticians, epidemiologists, data scientists, and researchers in artificial intelligence (AI) have contributed to the production of analyses, tools and platforms to better understand the dynamics of the propagation of the virus and the efficiency of isolation policies, to name but a few.
In this context, this webinar will aim to discuss these different initiatives from academia and industry, and how AI was put to test, to fight and help living with the pandemic.
