Building on one of the key research frontiers represented in our ICML 2026 accepted papers, this session will explore emerging directions at the intersection of AI and biological discovery.

Will feature the following 3 papers:
– CellBRIDGE: Learning Cellular Trajectories via Interaction-Aware Alignment 
– Active Timepoint Selection for Learning Measure-Valued Trajectories
– Influence-Guided Symbolic Regression: Scientific Discovery via LLM-DrivenEquation Search with Granular Feedback

– Prof David Bentley FRS – Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics at the U. Colorado School of Medicine
– Dr Roderik Kortlever – Research Fellow in the ‘Cancer Biology Laboratory’ Group of Prof. Gerard Evan, at The Francis Crick Institute & King’s College London
– Dr Rory Maizels – Postdoctoral Fellow at EMBL EBI & the Sanger Institute
