The van der Schaar Lab is delighted to share its contributions to NeurIPS 2025. NeurIPS is widely considered the world’s largest and most prestigious AI and machine learning research conference so we are extremely proud of our students.
This year’s papers reflect not only the diversity of our research directions – spanning cutting-edge ML for healthcare including, clinical reasoning and timely clinical diagnosis and medical causal inference, as well as advancing reality-centric AI methods and frameworks such as synthetic data and human-AI collaboration.
In addition, this year highlight voices of a new generation of researchers. Several of the accepted works come from students who are in the early stages of their PhDs, highlighting how quickly they are engaging with frontier machine learning research.
Interested in joining our group?
If you are interested in following in their footsteps – working on transformative ML concept and having the chance of publishing at the world’s most important conferences from the start – we are currently looking for four new PhD students! More information here.
For us, this years NeurIPS is about evolution: showcasing innovative approaches, fresh perspectives, and the next wave of machine learning talent.
